In the year 2002 the kennel prefix La Chighana was
born and registered in Dansk Kennel Klub, and of course in FCI too. Of
course it is me as the owner of the kennel who started it up, but I couldn't
have done it without good dogs. From the very beginning I have been very
lucky to have my DKCH,KBHV01 Bonnie. She has been a very good producer.
In the beginning DKCH,KBHV01 Bonnie was registered in Dansk Racehunde Union, which you can and may not compare to Dansk Kennel Klub. This organisation, Dansk Racehunde Union is NOT a member of FCI or AKC related organisations!
In this organisation DKCH,KBHV01 Bonnie was competing at many shows, and won each show. I had thought of producing some puppies, and after a while Bonnie was mated with a lovely smooth coat male. The result was a single puppy. But what a puppy! The show results tell their own story. DKCH,SUCH,KLBCH,KBHV03,KBHV04, DKKV03 La Chighana Freja was born, this was the beginning of my success too.
For many years I had a big whish. I wanted to own an Afghan. After a while I bought an Afghan with an FCI pedigree from the world famous Afghan kennel, Boxadan. The breeder told me the dog wasn´t allowed to show and breed in both of these two very different organisations. They helped me to register the Chihuahuas in Dansk Kennel Klub, FCI. I have NEVER regretted this decision.
Bonnie and Freja have made their titles in FCI regime! But, you can´t make a Chihuahua breed with success just by help from your dogs. You need close teamwork with other kennels. Pequeno Chihuahuas, Denmark, and Guichon`s Chihuahuas, USA are some of the people behind the success La Chighana Chihuahuas has today. Thank you ALL for your trust, cooperation, support and friendship. Without you, La Chighana wouldn´t be here today. With these English , American and Danish bloodlines I hold the fundament to breed type full, healthy Chihuahuas with lots of quality, attitude and a good temperament.
Beside Chihuahuas today I have Lhasa Apsos too. Therefor the kennel prefix La Chighana.
